Every year we hold two registered manager's conferences and one of the most popular elements is the Manager's Q&A session .

We are busy planning for our conference on the 22nd January, and we are looking for managers from both residential and dom care to participate as part of the panel.

The theme of the conference is ' Is your Care Service Well Led? ' so we are really keen to hear from managers who are happy to share their experiences. If that's you, please email enquiries@wmca.care by 7th November if you wish to take part.

Hundreds Unite to Restore NHS Mattresses and Fund a Year of Community Support for Grace Cares

On the 21st October, care professionals, businesses and volunteers came together at the Grace Cares Hub to refurbish hundreds of NHS mattresses – preventing vital equipment from going to landfill and generating huge carbon savings and social value across the sector.

Each mattress is being resold to care providers for just £199 , with bulk order discounts available – offering an affordable, sustainable solution that also delivers measurable ESG impact. Every sale comes with an impact report showing the carbon saved and the social value delivered , giving care providers tangible evidence for their ESG reporting and regulatory submissions .

CQC - Updated guidance on the use of CCTV in care settings

CQC updated their guidance on the use of CCTV in the Summer (August 2025) and we are getting reports of care providers being picked up for not following the new guidance.
